Woman walking peacefully through woodland on a healing journey

My story

From diagnosis to discovery

A coeliac diagnosis changed everything — and set me on a path I never expected.

The founder of The Immune Theory

I was told to just avoid gluten.

I had been living with coeliac disease most of my life without knowing it. By the time I was finally diagnosed at 36, my body had been quietly fighting for decades. I cut out gluten, followed the advice, and waited to feel better. But the fatigue, the brain fog, the aching joints — they stayed.

The coeliac diagnosis was only the start. Along the way I also tackled SIBO and leaky gut — both of which I've since healed — and I'm still navigating life with diverticulitis. Each challenge taught me something new about what my body actually needed, and none of it came from a prescription pad.

I spent years working with gut and brain specialists, trying different approaches, and slowly piecing together what conventional medicine couldn't quite give me. Eventually I stopped waiting for someone to hand me a roadmap — and started building one myself.

The search for something more

Gradually, things shifted. Energy came back. The fog lifted. I'm not going to pretend it was a straight line — it wasn't — and honestly, it still isn't. I'm still a coeliac, still healing my body, still learning as I go. This space is me sharing that journey in real time — the things that are helping, the things I'm discovering, and everything in between.

Your immune system isn't broken. It's responding to something. Find the something.
Herbal remedies and a journal — tools of a healing journey

Why I built this community

I built The Immune Theory because I know exactly how it feels to be unwell, exhausted, and quietly convinced that there must be more to it than this. To sit in a waiting room, describe your symptoms, and leave with advice that doesn't quite fit.

This is a space for people who are ready to go a bit deeper. Who want to understand what's going on, not just manage it. Who believe — as I do — that the body is remarkably good at healing when you give it what it actually needs.

You are not your diagnosis. You are a person with the power to change your story.

What guides everything here

Root cause thinking

Symptoms are signals. We look beyond the label to understand what the immune system is actually responding to.

Whole-body healing

Gut health, nervous system regulation, nutrition, movement, and mindset — healing happens across all of them.

Community over isolation

Healing is not a solo journey. Shared knowledge and lived experience are among the most powerful medicines there are.

Ready to start your own journey?

Join a community of people who are done accepting 'just manage it' — and are choosing to heal instead.

The Immune Theory

A community built on lived experience. We believe your body has the capacity to heal — and you have the power to guide it.

Our Mission

The Immune Theory exists to give people with autoimmune conditions the knowledge, community, and confidence to take back control of their health — through holistic, proven, and deeply human methods.
